Poetry found on a dollar bill

Mark K May 11th, 2007

You never know what might come to you if you stop and notice. Somewhere, a heartbroken author penned this mini-novel and then published it for a dollar bill!

She tears off her rings and other expensive things and says “You can’t buy my love.” I fell back head over heels over something so beautiful I never knew existed.

    Hey Mark,
I like the powerful glimpse this small fragment gives of a very charged, emotional situation.
Also I admire the way the writer published this story, as you say, by writing it on the dollar bill and then releasing it to the universe. The price of self-publishing has finally become affordable!
Reminds me of a bulletin board poem I saw in a Healdsburg coffeehouse, anonymous, simply pinned to the cork for others to read . . . cool
